Porsche 911 (930) Turbo Overview

The Porsche 911 Turbo was first produced as the Porsche 930 Turbo between 1975 and 1989. The number 930 refers to the internal type number of the car. It was Porsche top of the line model for the entirety of its production and also it was the fastest production car in Germany at the time of its introduction.

The car came with an air-cooled flat six 3.0 liter engine that was turbo-charged (1975-1977). Between 1978 and 1989 the 930 was produced with a 3.3 liter engine that pushed out 260 to 330 hp.

The 930 superseded the Porsche 911 Carrera RS 3.0, and was succeeded by the 964 Turbo.
